DETAIL
An intermittent problem concerning the self cancelling action of the turn signal switch on Range Rover Classic and Discovery has been identified.
Specifically, after completing a right hand turn with the turn signal activated, the switch may cancel with enough force to reset itself in the opposite
direction. A design change was implemented on switch production date 44.94. This condition should be addressed by replacing the switch (P/N
STC1791).
Since this condition is difficult to reproduce at our test facility, it is imperative that "Fly Through" be used as the problem descriptions on both the DCS
warranty claim and the yellow part tag (P/N RRNA0012). A vague or inaccurate problem description such as "Inoperative" may result in the warranty
claim being denied.
ACTION REQUIRED
Upon customer complaint of above problem follow procedure outlined.
